New Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery Comes to Innovation Eye Clinic

I am delighted to announce that the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgery called Excimer Laser Trabeculostomy (ELT) is now available at Innovation Eye Clinic.

This laser has been showing excellent results and involves using a low energy laser to create micro-channels to allow the fluid to drain more effectively from the eye. This is a deviceless procedure, meaning no device is left in the eye. Results so far have shown an excellent reduction in eye pressure, as well as an improvement in the quality of life and ocular surface comfort of patients.

The procedure can easily be combined with cataract surgery, like other minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, and adds little extra in the way of risk, surgical time or post-op recovery.
