Optometrist Educational Event, Sussex

Last week the Innovation Eye Clinic team hosted an optometry educational event at the AMEX Stadium in Brighton.  The meeting was very well attended by optometrists from across the county.  Talks were given by Gok Ratnarajan and Thurka Sivapalan encompassing all aspects of glaucoma diagnosis and modern management pathways.  We are very fortunate to have such high-quality optometrists in our region who are often the first people who pick up eye conditions such as cataract and glaucoma. 

At Innovation Eye Clinic, one of our core principles is to involve optometrists in patient care and having educational events like this is crucial to, both building those strong connections, as well as providing education.

We hope that the results are even better surveillance and early diagnosis of any potential problems when you attend your routine sight tests, which you should do on a yearly basis.  We will look to do a further educational event for our optometry colleagues in Kent and Surrey early in the New Year.
